Interesting suggestions for door speakers.. I have a ’94 Silverstone 1.8i and
use Alpine STM 6666 Marine speakers in both doors and rear deck with an active
Pioneer Cyclone sub in the spare wheel… This gives fabulous sound and the
coated cones are everything resistant (as they are marine speakers!!) It’s as
if they were designed for the Roadster!!

They were a little expensive ($149.99 from Crutchfield) but the Cerwin Vega
6002′s really did it for me. They have a frequency response down to 22 Hz
and are rather efficient. I power them with a separate power amp in the
trunk pushing 85 W per channel with the 4 ohm load the speakers put on them.
However, the Kenwood 738 pushing only 35 W per channel did just as good. I
just wanted more power for the 6.5 inch Bazooka sub that I’m also running in
the trunk.
Go with the Cerwin Vegas. You won’t be sorry!!
