Good for the buyer or good for the seller? One is usually the opposite
of the other.
You can get a pretty good indication of current values from the Kelley
Blue Book site, among others. See http://www.kbb.com for more information.

If you are asking if the Miata is a "good" investment than the answer is
no. Depreciation is close to other vehicles. For the buyer, it is a
great market with hundreds of examples of good, clean cars for sale
every weekend. Most (but certainly not all) are relatively low mileage
with very good maintenance histories. There are a lot of people out
there who wanted to rediscover their youth, bought the car and then
expected it to ride and perform like their everyday driver (usually a
full size Buick or Olds) and when it doesn’t, put it up for sale. The
Miata is absolutely the best used car buy on the market – even Consumer
Reports agrees with that one – it’s been listed every year in their
desirable used car listing and also top rated every year. It currently
is, or has been, on everyone’s "top ten list" since inception and, based
upon everyone in this NG, they are as bulletproof as you can make a
car. With examples readily available for under 6K (or less if you don’t
mind some mileage) how can you go wrong?
Tom
Tom, you’ve hit the nail on the head.
My 93 B is the only used car I have ever bought. The Japanese econobox
underpinnings of the Miata make it a great used car buy.
