I’ve noticed quite a few Miatas around Knoxville, TN and have waved to
many of the drivers (and often been waved back at). Yet, there isn’t any
Miata Club branch in Knoxville that I can find. The nearest one is in
Chattanooga I believe, nearly 3 hours drive from here. If anyone in the
Knoxville area is interested in perhaps starting a chapter, please email
me and let’s see what we can put together.

Hey, I’ve been where you are. The things to do are to see what zip codes
the other chapter is already covering (club listing in magazine) and if
your’s isn’t already in there, contact the club and get a MCofA membership
listing for your zip code and whatever other ones you want. If the other
club is already covering your area, you’ve got to contact them to see if
they’ll give it up, otherwise, officially, you’re sunk before you even get
wet.
