I didn’t notice this in the archives:
– can the FM modulator be hooked up to the antenna in the trunk?
– is it necessary to remove the console etc. to mount and connect the wired
remote control?
- any hints or shortcuts for installing one of these?

I can only speak of the Sony unit I have installed. Technically there is no
reason why you can’t hook into the antenna feed in the trunk. The control
unit however did not have enough wire to make that work.
That said, I had to remove the console etc. to hook up said unit.
If you can make all the wires reach, it should be possible.
