Guilty as charged. I should not have done any of the following;-

1.Defended you in the moderators newsgroup.
2.Given you an invitation, when the dogs were at your door.
3.Offered you a refuge, with the spam explosion survivors.
4.Ticked off the moderators.
5.Put your name up in lights on OUSA Astronomy and Astronomy and Space.
6.Put back the release of my software package,
   just because of the spam troubles.

Personally I would take me out and shoot me,
there is no punishment too bad for any moderator,
who gets even one complaint. We should be above reproach,
like Caesers’ wife.

I will of course remove the words
"Extract to explain the project to Pip" from all further postings.

Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a good battery charger and a place where I can
order it?

The battery page on Miata.net mentions the WestCo EZ-12R but I don’t
see it on the WestCo page.  I’ve found some on the various Miata
vendor pages but I’m not sure exactly who makes them or which one is
best.

Also, does the battery need to be disconnected during charging?

Is the combination of Eibach Pro-Kit + Bilsteins Damper (‘R’ package) good ?
I just speed sometimes and not go to autocross.

I’m considering Eibach Pro-Kit or orginal spring from Mazda for spring
replacement.

Miata M1

The last couple of days, I have been noticing a slight
pinging/knocking/ticking noise at idle and at low acceleration. I am within
1000 miles of needing an oil change, so at first I assumed that this was the
classic Miata lifter noise when the car needs an oil change. I checked the
oil level, and it appears to be perfect. Anyone have any ideas? The car is a
’95 M edition with the 1.8 liter. I’m probably worrying for nothing, but
when it comes to this car, I’ll take the chance–thanks in advance.

Summer is coming soon and with the good weather spells we have had recently,
i dare say we are in for a scorching summer !

With this in mind, i would really love to drive a convertible or at least,
something with it’s hood off ( some may argue CRX is not a true convertible)

Due to budget constraints (4.5K), i can only afford early examples of MX5
(90-92) or Honda CRX (92-94).

I am looking for a car which gives excellent road handling, and a responsive
drive.
On motorways, i do tend to accelerate quickly and overtake….but that’s
only if i am driving a car which i know can beat the one in front.
Enjoy doing the A&B roads on weekends with the sun and wind around me.

can any owners of these cars share their experiences of these cars ?
Also, are they easy to maintain ? I am concerned about water leaking…

My sons 99 Miata is due for a oil change and filter….We would like to use synthetic oil as the warranty just ran out….Any one know of any reason why we should not use this oil?…..Any thoughts on long life filters?….(I was doing a job at a BMW dealers garage one day and I noticed all the late model cars were getting Mobil 1 put in there crankcase so I asked the mechanic why and he said at the time BMW was giving free oil changes every 7500 miles and filters every 15000 and that BMW put in the Mobile1 because of the length of the intervals, was this true?)

I noticed the leather seats on my 01 are sprouting little "hairs" from the
pores around the lumbar area.  Anyone else seeing this.

Also, the black foam gasket is coming loose around the rear window.  This is
on the outside under the flap and helps seal the window when the top is up.

I only have 850 miles on the car, shouldn’t be happening!

Be careful of the early CRX (Del Sol) models.  Honda dealers were calling
them Del Soak with all the leaking problems.

anyone here knows where to rent a mx5 in bristol, UK?

i’ve come across 2 companies which rent out mx5s but they are 200 miles away
and they charge at least 125 pds a day !

Hi guys/gals..hope you can help.

I need to obtain a replacement power window switch for my 91 Eunos. Anyone
have any ideas where I can obtain one (new or 2nd hand ) in the UK, for less
than the £65 Mazda want from me ?
