Abrasion on inside of top

Has anyone else seen abrasions on the inside of the top? Mine results from
friction between the inside of the top and folds of the top when the top is
down. I am looking for a fix, b/c is looks like it could wear pretty thin in
another year of so.

Hey!  I have abrasions on my inner top too.  The only remedy I can think
of (absent buyinng a new top) is to apply "spray on fabric", which is a
hefty $10 a can – available at your local pep boys.  I think walmart
even has it.  Better ideas?  Let’s hear ‘em!

I passed.  I figured that I could buy a whole lot of wax for the money.
Besides, after my full sized PU truck, the Miata is so qiuck  to clean and wax
that I love to do it.  I feel like I’m a teenager on date night!

Hmm.. $400 for a quick wax and a bottle of Scotchguard… You do the
    math.

    no

no, they didn’t offer it to me.

Keep your car washed and waxed and use the vacuum on it.  Basically, take
care of your car.  It will look better, longer and cost you less.

Hmm…  It’s invisible, undetectable, and generates supposed
benefits so far into the future that you wouldn’t know whether
it was there or not…  Sounds like a solicitation for a
    donation to me.

Trust the factory paint and your own wax job.  The interior of
my 5-year-old car looks fine – no fading or cracking after spending
every day outside in the Florida sun.  So the seats faded a bit.
    Not $399 worth.
