A defroster needed for a "90

I was wondering if anybody could direct me to a good rear window defroster
for my ’90 hardtop , I want to put it in myself .
After I get a good idea of the type to buy , I’d wire it myself also, but
what would I tap into for a good power source before the switch . I’d
appreicate any ideas & as soon as possible , it’s gettin’ near impossible to
enjoy & drive &  I don’t want that to happen…

Thanks for your help …

AND LEON BREAKS THE LAW TOO!

leon it has been crystal clear to me from the get go that you are
extremely intelligent;  mechanically at least.  it is equally obvious
that you have no social or "people"  skills.  you are a scientist i
guess.  you have broken the law here and it is really easier to prove
than dear Larry.  have you ever heard of the Americans with Disabilities
Act?  Protection and Advocacy for People with Disabilities?  The
Alliance for the Mentally Ill?  and numerous other watchdog agencies
that provide help with litigation if someone with a disability feels
they have been discriminated against.  (FOR INSTANCE IF THEY WERE TO
HAVE THEIR PERSONAL INFORMATION ABOUT THEIR DISABILITY PLACED IN AN OPEN
FORUM FOR THE SOLE REASON OF RIDICULE OR DISCRIMINATION.)  THAT IS
ILLEGAL. I HAVE A DISABILITY THAT HAS BEEN PROVEN IN A COURT OF LAW.
THIS PROVIDES ME WITH CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS WHICH I INTEND TO USE.
and you seriously need to evolve.  for anyone to stigmatize,
patronize, discriminate or otherwise try to ridicule a person who has a
mental illness is not only against the law— it shows that you are
closed minded, stupid socially, ignorant and an idiot.  did i mention it
is also against the law?  those of us that have evolved realize that
mental illness is just that;  an illness.  you would not say to a person
who has cancer, "stop having cancer you idiot!"
i have an anxiety disorder;  i have never been hospitalized for it.
i have always been an outpatient.  an anxiety disorder does not mean
that i am incompetent, irrational, delusional, paranoid or having
hallucinations.  however i do not feel that i should have to defend
myself against ignorant and discriminatory people such as yourself.
when you took the google link concerning my disability and placed it in
an open forum for discriminatory reasons you broke the law;  plain and
simple.  maybe from now on Leon, you and Mr. Gadbois should keep your
faces closed.  if one didn’t know better, listening to your idiotic,
ignorant and discriminatory remarks, i might think you were a card
carrying member of the Ku Klux Klan.   Peace.  Mark

report on moss motors boot lift

hi,
wife got a boot lift for her car for christmas.  with a wing on the boot it
can be a pain to open the boot with pacakes oin hand
it was a pretty simple install except for the "ball stud" that is installed
on the boot mount bracket.  i could not and can not see how one would
properly align and drill the hole for this from the diagram.  if one lines
the stud up as shown, with the stud in the curve of the mount’s torsion bar
hook, the hook cant be simple hooked on the stud after the stud is
installed. also,  i had to drill a second hole because when i installed the
piston, the upper piston mount was no where near the hole as show in the
diagram.  further, the hole that must be drilled needs to be in the exact
center of the boot mounting bracket’s curve.  otherwise the split washer and
nut are a big pain to make fit.

ymmv,
peter

report on moss motors twilights

hi,
wife also got a set of clear twilights for her car.
this install was also pretty straigh forward.  however, i found the a 5/8"
hole was not big enough and 3/4" was too big :) for the new rubber sockets
for the bulb.  i also didnt want to use the "wire taps" that were provided
with the kit so i cut the existing wiring, slipped heat shrink tubing onto
the old wires and then soldered all three ends together.  i shrunk the
tubing and then put a small tie wrap around the side that has the two wires
coming out of the splice.
ymmv,
peter

Report on DRL Installation

root@localhost postmaster@localhost admin@localhost abuse@localhost
ab…@altopia.com ab…@google.com u…@FTC.gov postmas…@127.0.0.1

I recently completed the installation of daylight running lights on my ’90
Miata (U.S. version). WITHOUT adding a set of after-market fog/running
lights. The final configuration:

-  Bright white running lights where the yellow front parking lights/turn
signals used to be

-  Running lights controlled by the ignition switch

-  Front turn signals moved to the (previously unused) corner "twilight"
lenses.

Email me off-list if you are interested in the details. If there is more
than just a little interest, I’ll post the details to the list.
