How would one store aluminum rims in a garage, should we coat them before
storage with a oil spray? or just leave them to dry inside the bags inside
the garage?

Second question, if the car has dirt/mud on it, does this accelerate the
rusting process? or does washing the car every 2-4 days expose the clean
surface to winter salt thus accelate the rusting process?
Hey All,
When I turn slowly into my driveway, I hear a crunch or maybe it’s a clunk
in the front end when the wheel is put "hard over". This appears to only
happen sometimes. Car has 52K miles of well-taken-care driving (I think – I
just bought ‘er about 2 months ago)
Any thoughts?

Hi there, I’m finally looking to replace my old top and am thinking I
want one of the new no-zip glass tops that are on the market. I know
that Duetto makes one and Cabrio World makes one as well. I’m
wondering if anyone in the newsgroup could comment on their level of
satisfaction with either top.
I beleive both tops are in the same general price range, and I’ve read
a few comments that make it seem as though perhaps they’re
manufactured by the same company. Really all I’m looking for are
comments on the quality of these tops. I know many people swear by
Robbins, I’m just looking for opinions on the competition.

Replaced the 90 with a 2000 M edition. The car has a system on it that locks
automatically 30 seconds after the doors close! In the manual it states that
the dealer has to reprogram this. Is this true?
Also the car came with a hard top which I don’t need.

Are there any years of miata’s that are better than other’s as far as
reliability? What would you recommend that I try to get, i’ll be trading in
a 98 jeep grand cherokee for about 10 or 11 grand hopefully. Do they
depreciate a lot, or do they keep there value? What are some things to look
for when shopping around for one? Anyone ever get one of ebaymotors.com and
have it transported to you? If so, how did that go?

I’ve just bought a car stereo for my Mazda 626 -88 (which I also recently
bought). My problem is that I can’t find an adaptor so that I can plug it in
and finally get to use it!
It seems there are no such adaptors for sale, at least in Sweden, so I might
have to make my own in some way. I have found adapters for Mazdas produced
after -89, but that doesn’t help much ..
What I would like to know is which pins do what ? Does anyone know?

Hey all, as the subject says I’m looking into the turbo/supercharger
situation with the Mazda Miata.
From the little research I’ve done in this newsgroup and links from
google’s groups site, I came across flyinmiata.com and rspeed.net,
both offering turbo/SC kits. For the type of speed I’m after, would
it make sense to go with the Supercharger kit like the one on

Ok so, obviously, I love this car (and I moved to CA just so I could
get one and not have it rust out =) I have a question:
It’s a `94 with the original factory stereo cassette player. I’ve got
a headrest speaker volume control on the left knob but, alas, no
headrest speakers (and it doesn’t appear the car ever had them,
although the spaces in the foam are there.) How hard is it to put a
couple in? With the control on there, I’m assuming the stereo can
drive them…is that correct?
