Snow Tires and Wheels for Sale

Hello All,

I have a set of 4, 14" steel rims with snow tires already mounted. I used
them for only one winter on my 1999 Miata.

This past summer I got a 2001 with the sport suspension package and last
wee when I tried to put them on they would not fit. The larger brake
system would not let them clear the brake calipers.

I just purchased a 15" set of mag wheels and snow tires and would like to
sell the old ones. I am located in New Jersey, make me an offer if your
interested.

Have a great day,
Chuck Peck

Warning Signs of #4

Group:
Can somebody tell me the warning signs of an impending #4 thrust bearing cap
failure or whatever it is?  I bought my 99 about two months ago and it is in
the affected range according to the TSB.  I made the Mazda dealership do a
crankshaft end play test before buying it and they said the car was
completely ok, don’t worry about it.  Still, I’m paranoid.  The TSB says
something about a rattling at idle, what does that sound like?  Does it vary
with clutch position?  Any other warning signs?  I’ve got about 35,000
miles, so according to the article on miata.net, I should be out of the
woods.  Any advice appreciated.

Mazda question

I know this is a Miata group only, but I can’t find any newsgroups dedicated
to all Mazdas.

Here’s my questions, if there is a better group to post these in, please let
me know.

1)  How reliable (overall) are 1992 626′s?

2)  What are common problems with them?

3)  If anyone out there has one, would you buy another?

My friend totalled his old car and is looking at a ’92 626.  I know close to
nothing about Mazda (Honda man myself), so any advice or comments are
welcome.

96 Miata Missing!

well, O.K. its still here, but I mean ignition wise.  Its gotten
progressively worse in the past week, now the engine light is on.  There is
65000 miles on it, i wouldnt think the wires need replacing, but it sounds
like that.  How bought plugs??  How do you remove the wires from
the…well… distributor cap..its not round, they are in a line, they didnt
pull straight up easily… but I didnt want to force them either.  If this
was a 64 Triumph or MG, I’d check the points, rotor, and condensor, but I’m
clueless with all this electronic igniton crap HELP!!!

Looking for a Body Kit

I want to add a body kit to my 1990 miata. I don’t want anything too radical
but sporty.
Any suggestions and a link to a dealer that has them for a good price?

Cold Miata?

Winter has finally hit KY. I bought my Miata in May and it ran fine in
warmer weather (other than the valve seals needing to be replaced). Now
that we have some 15 degree temps, the car is revving itself when I
slow and stop. As soon as the RPMs hit 2k, it revs up to 2200 then
drops back to 2k over and over and over, takes about 5 secs for each
cycle. People think I want to race :/

We had one warm day and it ran fine, though it still happens once the
car is warmed up. Doesn’t matter if the clutch is in or not.

Any ideas before I send it to the shop?

Thanks!

Max 5 cruise control

Question on the Max 5 cruise control. Someone had said something about
needing a signal generator instead of using the VSS. Where do you find
a signal generator? And where does it hook up to? Any and all help
will be appreciated. Thanks.
