Re: does unmounting/remounting tires cause problems?

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 5:49 am

to my knowledge, the only problem this could cause, is if the tire machine
damages the bead.  you could develop a slow (or not so slow) leak.

that especially sucks when you don’t find out about it until you are hard in
a corner, and realize there is a bout 8lbs of pressure in the left front
tire  you tear the side wall apart, rip the tire completely off the rim,
wrap the tread around the spindle, shoot off the road, the rim digs into the
soft ground on the other side, you shoot back across the road to the other
side, and stop about 8 inches short of wiping out some grouchy old man’s
HEAVY duty wooden fence, and have to walk the next 2 miles to work because
you took the spare out because it was "unnecessary dead weight".

or so i’ve heard.

How big a Bazooka ?

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 5:48 am

The Bazookas seem like a pretty good solution for adding bass oomph to
the Miata. Admittedly they won’t rattle the windows with
doof-doof-doof, but they’ll supply the bottom-end that’s currently
missing from my 01.

Question is, what diameter Bazookas does the Miata take? I can’t find
any indication on the Bazooka or Crutchfield websites as to which
model to get for the Miata. Anyone know?

Heater Controls

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 5:47 am

Does anybody know which heater control on ’99 Leather Package
allows coolant to flow through heater (Temp, Outlet, Fan)? It’s
probably not the fan. When starting with a winter cold engine, I’d
like to make sure the coolant stays in the block to hasten warming.

Thanks,

Vibrations at 30-32 mph

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 5:47 am

I have had a vibration in my ’97M since I acquired it used a number of months ago.  I am bringing this problem up now because I just replaced all four of the tires with Bridgestone RE730′s  and had the car aligned and the problem did not go away.

I cannot seem to figure out where the problem is?  Does anyone have a suggestion on how to diagnose this problem?
