I’ve noticed quite a few Miatas around Knoxville, TN and have waved to
many of the drivers (and often been waved back at). Yet, there isn’t any
Miata Club branch in Knoxville that I can find. The nearest one is in
Chattanooga I believe, nearly 3 hours drive from here. If anyone in the
Knoxville area is interested in perhaps starting a chapter, please email
me and let’s see what we can put together.

Can someone give me the email address?
Thanks,

For those of you that question why, here’s why some of us ask for your
Miata’s age and where you are…
For certain problems, geographic location and the year of the car help
greatly in dealing with your questions. It allows people to solve your
concerns instead of making assumptions and/or asking for more info.
So I ask you to take the time out to add the year of your Miata and your
location to your postings. Thanks.

I just bought a 95 with no armrests and I understand that 95 was the only
year they were missing. Should I try salvage yards or buy them new from
the dealer. Do I need to find the whole inner door panel or just the
armrests and attach them to my existing panel? I imagine there must be
some structure underneath to support the stress on the armrest. It doesn’t
seem like a part anyone here would be likely to be selling off.
Thanks for your help,
Bill

Hi!
Well, I found my dreamcar: a low mileage black/black 95 with the P package
and air. As you’ll see below, I’m already getting a bit carried away with
wanting to get every accessory that’s available. I want to turn this car
into one of the most elegant and fastest Miatas around, short of turboing
or supercharging it (that may come later…) I want it to look really low
and wide, like an old Shelby Cobra, handle like a slot car, with all
finish in black and chrome, with alot of chrome under the hood, too.
I’d appreciate your help in prioritizing which of the below upgrades will
most affect my enjoyment of my new car. If you have any experiences,
preferences or advice about the choices of brands I’ve indicated, that
would help me as well. If you have email addresses for anyone specifically
in the group who would be open to my contacting them for their input,
please forward this to them, or send me their addresses.
I’ll also be looking for a reputable independent shop in the Santa Monica
area to install alot of these items for me.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi,
1) I’m in Santa Monica, CA and wondered if anyone knows of a shop in my
specific area who is willing to do aftermarket performance work on my
Miata (when I get it) like header, intake, catback, cam gears, cams, dyno
testing, shocks, lowering springs, strut brace, etc.
2) Is there a newstand magazine that emphasizes Miatas as opposed to
"muscle" cars?
3) What are the benefits of joining the national and local Miata clubs?
Thanks,
Bill

I am thinking about buying the 1996 Mazda MX-3 Precidia,
but am told that it is gone after 1997, should I avoid
this purchase? Or did hte car sell enough to make
parts readibly available?
thanks,

Neither my main key, nor my spare key, will unlock the trunk. It, of
course, has always been difficult to unlock but a slight pressure on the
trunk usually does the trick. Now it won’t budge. Anyone else had this
problem? Will a locksmith be able to get it open? Is there any way to
get in the trunk from the passenger compartment? Help!
