Price?? Canada

I have noticed that the price for a used 1990 Miata is very consistant at
the dealers throughout our area varying only a few hundred dollars depending
on milage.   It is, of course, much higher than the red book price.

How much do they usually come down?   Is there a formula as there seems to be
for pricing them?   I would prefer to buy privately, but there are very few
Miatas available in our area.

Thanks

Good SF Bay Area Miata mechanic?

I just bought a Miata and I have no idea where to take it for servicing.
Is there an independant garage that specializes in Miatas in the Bay Area?

Faded paint

I have a red ’91 that has been kept outside.  The paint on the plastic
parts (front and rear bumpers and mirrors) has oxidized a lot faster than
on the rest of the car.  Has this happened to anyone else.  Will anything
fix it besides compounding?

Thanks

Tire Imformation Wanted

I just purchased a 1992 A Package and need help with tires.  Which tire
would  be best for regular driving and would help  reduce vibrations and
noise, especially at 65 mph.       Thanks for your help,  George

Rear Window Cracked

My 1990 Miata has a crack (about 3") in the rear window.  I’ve tried several
things to repair it, but nothing seems to work.  Mazda has priced new canvas
(not including frame) at $1377 CDN, which is way too much to pay considering
that my roof is basically okay.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to repair the crack?

Chris

Bike rack for Miata

Hi,

Has anyone out there bought a bike rack for their Miata?  I’d like to get one,
and I’m concerned about scratching the paint or damaging the trunk.  Let
me know if you have any recommendations.

Thanks,

Sachin

RE: Bike rack for Miata

I used the Rhode Gear Super Cycle Shuttle on my miata…it does hurt my miata or scratch the paint at all even with two mountain bikes on the back…it does look a little funny though such a little car with two big bikes hanging onto the rear

Happy New Miata Owner!!!!

Hello folks!!

I am a happy owner of a red 1990 (B) Miata.  It has all the standard B
model features and also has a Motorola flip phone charger in the
middle where the cup holder should be.  I also have the hardtop in
addition to a new softtop.  I have  a viper alarm along with the radar
unit.  Additionally, the previous owner had a new engine put in it
from Mazda, so although it has 90,000 miles, I have a new engine.

Question:  I have always had trucks and am not used to the low ground
clearance, and as a result, have scraped the front part of the car
that is made of plastic.  This has caused the paint to peel.  Also,
the previous owner had recently painted the vehicle (hard top too).
Other bad news?  I was "trapped" behind a leaking gravel truck and
where the extraneous pieces of gravel hit my paint and "little pock
marks".  What can I do to correct the patches and is there a preferred
wax to use?

Thanks for all comments and suggestions.

Ray
